How to save Cucumber Seeds
Choose a healthy, mature cucumber for seed saving.
Cut the cucumber lengthwise and scoop out the seeds along with the surrounding gel-like flesh.
Place the seeds and gel in a glass or plastic container and add a small amount of water.
Cover the container with plastic wrap or a lid, and poke a few holes for ventilation.
Allow the mixture to ferment at room temperature for about 3-4 days. This fermentation process helps separate the seeds from the gel.
Stir the mixture daily, and you'll notice a strong odor as it ferments, which is normal.
After fermentation, rinse the seeds under running water to remove the gel.
Spread the seeds on a paper towel to dry for a few days.
Once dry, store the seeds in a labeled paper envelope or small glass jar in a cool, dark place.
